Diver Vincent Canabal looks like he’s about to lose his head but this tiger shark seems more interested in what’s in his hand.

The 34-year-old regularly feeds sharks at Tiger Beach in the Bahamas.

Explaining his rather unusual hobby, Mr Canabal said: ‘Despite their reputation most sharks are very cautious and reluctant to approach people.

‘The only reason why they are near divers is because we attracted them with a little bit of dog food.

‘The main thing is to always be cautious, swim slowly without splashing and jerky movements.’

Shark fin soup is a delicacy in China and is served at important events, like weddings and anniversaries. When dried, the fins take on a texture and shape similar to noodles. According to tradition, longer noodles mean a longer life when you eat them. There's a downside, though — finning leads to the deaths of 73 million sharks every year.
